Copy the file, then search for a folder called Startup. Leftsider: Google leftsider and click the second result. Search it in the start menu and run it.
There is a DLL file that comes with it. If you want to run this at startup, copy and paste leftsider in the Startup folder. Then find the DLL file. Copy and paste that in as well. Open Control panel, search mouse, then click "Change how the mouse pointer looks". Click on any one there, then click browse. Look at the name of the pointer you are browsing for in control panel, then go on the one in the sounds and cursors that has the same name.
The picture is an example. Look at the picture if you do not understand this. Once you select the mouse pointer, click open. Do the same with the rest of the mouse pointers. If that's not what you wanted, please let me know. I Started doing this however, when i get to the part where i have to search for "Mac OS X", no skins are returned from the search. Reply 12 years ago on Introduction. Okay, scratch that, i clicked on the download tab to sort by most downloads and the first one the skin with the most downloads was the Mac OS X skin.
There are not any complex operations for this one. You just have to start the application and every single window will have its buttons placed right where you want them to be. This makes it even simpler for you to add LeftSider to your system's startup sequence just to make sure you have the buttons in the left side right from the get-go. In case you are wondering what should you do if you decide you want them back in their original position, you can go on and close the program from its available systray menu.
Sure, LeftSider can be taken seriously and used for facilitating the transition between Mac OS and Windows, but it can only play the major role in a monumental prank.
This piece of software has its drawbacks too, though and the best example is the way it doesn't seem to cope with left side menu buttons like the one of Mozilla Firefox. Turning LeftSider on and working within this browser can surely mess with you to the point where you, eventually, turn it off and send it down the drain just for that reason.
