Manual para zoom gfx 3

However, equipment that is very susceptible to interference or that emits powerful electromagnetic waves should not be placed near the GFX-3, as the possibility of interference cannot be ruled out entirely.

With any type of digital control device, the GFX-3 included, electromagnetic interference can cause malfunctioning and can corrupt or destroy data. Care should be taken to minimize the risk of damage. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the GFX If necessary, slightly moisten the cloth.

This product is a sophisticated Guitar Effects Processor with the following features. The GFX-3 provides 50 choices, ranging from distortion and modulation effects to spatial sound processing. The built-in acoustic simulator makes an electric guitar sound like an acoustic instrument.

Effect module setting combinations can be stored as patches. Together, these settings let you make great music straight away. The selectors and keys arranged on the panel let you directly access any effect. Because there is no need for mode switching, editing can be performed quickly even during a performance. The built-in pedal makes things even simpler by letting you vary effect parameters in real time.

The GFX-3 is a powerful tool for enhancing any live performance. The Energizer lets you match the output of the GFX-3 to the playback system. The metal chassis of the GFX-3 can withstand the rigors of use on stage. Stability is excellent, and the dual power supply allows the unit to be powered either from an AC adapter or from batteries. With one set of alkaline batteries, the unit will operate continuously for up to 11 hours. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.

However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:. Turn the unit over and open the battery compartment cover. Push the tab to unlock and then raise the cover. Battery compartment.

Battery polarity alternates. Close the battery compartment cover. Make sure that the tab is. Replace the batteries as soon as possible with fresh ones. Then plug the adapter into an AC outlet. When turning off the system, proceed in the opposite order. The display shows the current setting. As you turn the dial, the display indication changes between oF and 1 - Higher setting values result in stronger emphasis of the low range, and lower setting values in stronger emphasis of the high range.

The "oF" setting means that the Energizer function is turned off. To turn the system off, proceed in the opposite order than when turning it on. This will prevent the plug. This section explains the basic operation steps, allowing you to use the unit right away. To select a patch, press one of the foot switches [1] - [3] whose LED is not lit.

I can hear some noise in some patches but its more effects noice than the guitar coming through. Get this.. Patch 26 and 93 work as far as I can tell, fine.. I need to figure out how to turn modules on and off.. I wonder if there is some particular effect that is killing 97 other patches.

The unit might just be shot and not worth salvaging but I just want to explore all my options before I ship this puppy back. Also while I'm at it, does anyone know if finding a generic power supply for these units is hard to come by?

Mark Where can I purchase direct replacement capacitors Are they Panasonic?? Regrads John. My zoom has stopped working, will not power up, no display ect, power adaptor checks out okay and there is power to the off on switch on the circuit board.

The fuse mounted just behind the main display has blown. If you remove outer casing,6 screws, remove small circuit board on right hand side,2 screws, their are 2 screws in metal panel behind display holding in this board. Disconnect multi plug, remove 2 screws from under front panel and carefully ease display out. The circuit board can then be lifted out. Look on circuit board for a fuse usually 0. Unsolder and replace. All readouts will then work. Bob, I know this is a four-year old post but I just ran across it in a desperate search to fix my I basically had to take the entire unit apart to get to the fuse but sure enough, it was blown.

I replaced it with another SMD fuse I had laying around and it came back to life! Thanks again. Cheers, Eddie. Hi, I know this post is a few years old, but I am hoping I can get some assistance from someone more knowledgeable than I. Here goes: I just plugged in my Zoom , pushed the power button and it flashed Just blank, dark screen.

So I read your post and took apart my Zoom to get to the circuit board located behind the screen. I can't tell if the fuse is blown from visual inspection, but while the other black circuit items are dark black, what I believe is the fuse is a chalky light gray on the sides. I am not knowledgeable about the inner workings of electronics or circuit boards, but would really like to get my Zoom working again, as I use it allot and has sentimental value to me.

I was wondering if you could direct me to where I can order the correct replacement fuse, and exactly what I should be looking for like an exact model number or label description, or even a link if possible.

Thanks for any help. My zoom has stopped working, will not power up, no display ect, power adaptor checks out okay and there is power to the off on switch on the circuit board,, does anybody have a circuit diagram for this unit or any suggestions , I love this unit and want to get it working again , thanks TOM.

I have a zoom which has quit working. I cannot get it to power up. I've tried new batteries and the adapter. I think there is a problem with the input jack, since that is where it is supposed to power up when you plug in a mono guitar cable. I have taken it apart and looked, everything seems to be in place. I'm thinking that a resistor has maybe gone bad or something.

If I had a schematic, I could maybe figure out my problem. Unfortunately I don't have a schematic but I do own a zoom unit which works.

My problem is that the LCD screen was badly damaged which makes the unit hard to use with no visual feedback as to which mode s etc you are trying to set up with the manual it can be flown blind so to speak. I am in Australia and years back after the unit was damaged I checked the web, Zoom Corp etc and had other supply people check with the company in Japan to see if a replacement LCD screen could be located but we came up with ZIP on that.

I even had a technician unsolder the old bad screen very fine soldering work to get it ready for a new one but we exhausted all supply possibilities. As far as I know there are no zoom spare parts out there globally no spare LCD screens. I thought of buying another unit online but gave up on it back then backburner project. I don't know if you got your unit working or not. Let us reiterate that the process is simplicity itself, and it's very difficult to get lost as you can press the Exit key at any time.

The GFX-3 comes out of the box complete with an AC adaptor, which should be a popular move, even though Zoom tells us that the alternative method of supplying power using four AA batteries will give 11 hours of continuous operation. You can flick between the banks either with the small up and down keys or - and this will come into its own when you are using the unit live - by using combinations of the three footswitches - 1 and 2 together for bank up, 2 and 3 for bank down.

Zoom's studio-quality digital effects have long been lauded by the most pernickety of players - just ask Brian May - and dialling in a lush blend of chorus, delay, hall reverb and a hint of compression allows you to simply drift away on lapping Gilmouresque waves. Units such as this stand or fall on the quality of their overdrives and, although the associated high-end efficiency suits ultra-heavy scooped tones, getting an SRV urgency or Santana neck tone has often required a compromise.

Down sides? Well, the wah isn't as satisfying as we'd have hoped, and it seems to have a rather limited use as a way of adding extra body to an already driving amp, but for this price, that's not too much to worry about. Accept these restrictions and you'll be as impressed as we are. It is a revelation, with its shiny new tank-proof chassis protecting a digital heart that can produce some excellent tones any player would relish.
